She began her career at Arçelik. She oversaw the restructuring and reprojecting of investments at ITCF-Set Group. During her tenure as General Manager at YKM, she played a role in the creation of the Bonus Card, the first credit card with a chip and points collection system, in partnership with Garanti Bank.
She has spearheaded pioneering projects that contributed to the development of Turkish retail, including the transition of suppliers to a barcode system, the initiation of the first SAP Retail application, and comprehensive store software implementations in retail.
She joined Ziylan Group as CEO, managing the strategic and operational transformation of the group from a local wholesaler to a regional retail leader between 2012 and 2014. Since 2014, she has served as the CEO of Vakko.
As a board member of BMD (Association of Merged Brands) and a member of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Higher Council, she is involved in leading organizations in the sector and many social responsibility projects. Güner, who continues to chair the Community Union Committee of the Yeniköy Rotary Club, supports various projects on different platforms within this scope.
In 2008, she was named "Retailer of the Year" at the Retail Sun Awards among many male executives. She has been recognized multiple times, including as one of the "50 Most Powerful Business Women in Turkey" by Fortune Magazine in 2014, one of the "30 Most Powerful Business Women in Turkey" by Capital Magazine in 2015, and has been listed every year from 2018 to 2024 as one of the "50 Most Powerful Women CEOs in Turkey" by Ekonomist Magazine, receiving a new award each year.
