Dr. İrem Ergün graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and completed her master's degree in Health Management at Başkent University in 1998. In 2007, she earned her doctorate in International Health Management from Marmara University. Her interest in functional medicine was reinforced by positive experiences she gained while addressing personal health issues through these methods.
From 2015 to 2016, she completed training in Holistic Bioregulation Therapies. After working with Dr. Mark Hyman at Cleveland Clinic in September 2017, she began her specialty training at the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and received her IFM certification from the U.S. in 2020. She served as a Functional Medicine Specialist at Anadolu Health Center from 2018 to 2019. For the past five years, she has been working as the manager and physician of the Functional Medicine department at American Hospital.
