Biography


Gül began her career in 2007 after graduating from the Koç University with degrees in Business and Economics. She joined Ülker in 2007 as a brand manager in the dairy and dairy products category. After gaining experience in the dessert and children's categories, she went to the United Kingdom in 2010 and completed her master's degree in marketing at the University of Birmingham. In 2011, Gül started her career at Unilever as an Assistant Brand Manager responsible for the Elidor brand. She executed the partnership with "Muhteşem Yüzyıl," which brought Elidor to a leading position in the hair care market. In 2012, she transitioned to the home care category, working with the Cif and Sunlight brands, where she implemented strategies to grow the spray market and transform the product portfolio. She was promoted to Brand Manager for Domestos in 2013. In 2016, she received numerous global and local awards for the "Domestos Donations to Schools" campaign, which strongly activated the brand's purpose. With the experience gained from the Turkish market, Gül took on the role of Director of Strategy and Innovation for the Home Care category in the Namet-Rub region in 2017. She took a short break from her career in the second half of 2018 due to maternity leave. Returning to her career in 2019 as the Marketing Manager for the Personal Care and Beauty category in the Central Asia Market, Gül renewed the region's personal care strategy. She contributed to the growth trend of Unilever's business in this region by touching every point of the end-to-end value chain. She also led the localization transformation of the entire marketing organization. Since 2021, Gül has been serving as the Marketing Director responsible for the Home Consumption and Out-of-Home Consumption categories of the Ice Cream category. She directs both the communication and innovation strategies for brands like Algida Keyif, Algida Maraş Usulu, and Carte Dor, all under the Algida umbrella. Her work focuses on spreading the concept that Happiness is Learnable to a broader ecosystem.
