Biography



Ayşe Arman, a journalist who delves into the most current issues with a critical perspective and a fearless pen, graduated from Tarus American High School and Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication. She worked for Nokta, Aktüel, Tempo, Marie Claire magazines, and Yeni Yüzyıl Newspaper. Arman, who steadily climbed the ladder in the world of journalism from an early age with her meticulous work and impactful news stories, started writing columns for Hürriyet Newspaper at the age of 25. In her long-running Sunday interviews, she did not hesitate to touch on controversial topics and bring the unspoken to the forefront, in addition to covering current events. In 2002, her book "Kimse Okumazsa Ben Okurum" was published, followed by "Kimse Sormazsa Ben Sorarım" in 2003, "Alya, Sevgilim ve Ben" in 2009, and "Gezinin Güzel İnsanları" in 2013. She has received numerous awards, including the Bülent Dikmener Award presented by Cumhuriyet Newspaper. Arman, a symbol of the concept of creative interviews in Turkey, parted ways with Hürriyet Newspaper after 28 years. Arman also channels her power for civil society. She created wooden necklaces named Sakajewa İyilik Kolyeleri and, through hundreds of necklace workshops held to date, generated millions of liras for nearly 80 civil society organizations. She continues to create. She maintains her writings and interviews with her own team through a website and social media accounts bearing her name.
