Born in Tunceli, Özdağ continued her academic career as a research assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, after her education at the Ankara School of Pharmacy. She adopted the role of "Consultant Pharmacist", which she started to shape as a result of her studies during her years as a pharmacist.

Throughout her professional life, she actively took part in non-governmental organizations and implemented social responsibility projects. Being one of the first female Rotarians to join the Rotary Club, Özdağ served as the Special Assistant to the Governor and president, and took part in international commissions.

She opened Akmerkez Pharmacy in 1993. At the same time, she has trained many community pharmacists for 30 years by integrating her pharmacy, which she describes as a training academy, with the education programs of universities. In 2004, she served as a founding member and later president of the Pharmetic Entrepreneurial Pharmacists Association. She worked as a consultant in various professional chambers and ministry of health commissions for developments in the field of health and pharmacy. In 2015, she founded ARMENTE Consulting and Training company. With its mentor pharmacists and educator staff, it provides various personal development and sectoral trainings and organizes events to pharmacists, doctors, pharmacy technicians and pharmaceutical companies.

She designed and prepared the VIPHARMA magazine, which started its publication life in 2015 and reached 5000 pharmacists and doctors throughout Turkey. She has been preparing a health column for national newspapers since September 2017.
