Hindou is an environmental activist and geographer. She is the Coordinator of the Association of Peul Women and Autochthonous Peoples of Chad (AFPAT) and served as the co-director of the pavilion of the World Indigenous Peoples’ Initiative.
She has collaborated in UNESCO, UN, WEF, and many other international organizations for raising awareness in the protection of local agricultures and water resources.
She was included in the BBC's 100 Women list in 2017 and 2018 and she joined the National Geographic Society group which encourages the work of explorers, scientists and storytellers.
