Born on June 22, 1987, in Istanbul, Eda Erdem began her volleyball career in the youth team of Beşiktaş JK on December 24, 2000. She joined the A team in 2004 and played for four seasons, serving as the team's captain in the last two seasons. In 2008, she transferred to Fenerbahçe from Beşiktaş, where she played the role of captain.
Eda Erdem has been representing the Turkish National Team since 2005 and has participated in more than 300 matches with the Turkish National Team jersey. In her 15th season at Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü, she continues to serve as the captain for both the Turkish National Team and Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü.
