After completing high school in Istanbul, Cem Seymen pursued a degree in Tourism Management at Bilkent University in Ankara. After working briefly in the tourism sector, he moved to New York City, USA, to study his dream of economic journalism. In New York, he took courses in "Political Economy" and "Television Broadcasting." He participated in professional seminars hosted by ABC, CBC, and NBC television networks and worked for six years at the Turkish Consulate in New York during his student years.

Upon returning to Turkey, Cem Seymen started working as an economics reporter at BRT Television. His program "Hayatın Renkleri" garnered significant viewer interest and accelerated his career in television, eventually leading to a role with the CNN Türk Economics Department. During this period, he completed his undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature and later pursued a master's degree in the same field at Beykent University. His master's thesis, supervised by poet Çapan, focused on the theme of colonialism in Joseph Conrad’s novels. Cem Seymen, who has prepared and hosted numerous television programs, published his first book, “Özgürlüğün Rengi Mavidir” (The Color of Freedom is Blue), with Destek Publishing in December 2020.
