Yamaç Okur studied Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici University in Istanbul. He is one of the founders of acclaimed Altyazi Cinema Magazine. He worked at various positions at Bogazici University Mithat Alam Film Center between 2003 and 2013 and contributed the institutionalisation of the Film Center. He is also one of the founders of Bulut Film established in 2007 together with Nadir Öperli, Enis Köstepen and Seyfi Teoman. Being one of the founders of New Cinema Movement in Turkey, Yamac Okur actively participated to the Istanbul Film Festival Meetings on the Bridge as one of the members at the Advisory Committee between 2008 and 2013. He served as one of the members of Support Committee for Feature Films at the Ministry of Culture between 2013-2015. He had been the coordinator of the first edition of Antalya Film Forum, co-production and project development market of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. He is a Board member at the Films’ Producers’ Association (SE-YAP). Since March 2015, he is working as an executive producer in Ay Yapim, one of the leading production companies in Turkey.
