Murat Vargı, founder of MV Holding, started his career in 1972 as an export agent in Koç Holding. In 1976, he founded a company with the trade name Penta Foreign Trade in collaboration with 3 partners. Murat Vargı became the founding partner of Turkcell and KVK in 1993, and MV Holding was established the same year. Murat Vargı is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of MV Holding, a member of the Board of Trustees at TED Istanbul College, PODEM, TEGV and Okan University, and the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Own Your Garbage. Murat Vargı graduated from TED Ankara College, and received his undergraduate degree on Economics and Foreign Trade from the Academy of Economic and Administrative Sciences in Ankara. He completed the Trade Development Undergraduate Program with the scholarship of UNTD at Helsinki School of Economics, and, subsequently, the Foreign Trade Program at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, with a scholarship again.
