He is a Turkish cinema, theater and TV series mythical actor who played in the comedy films with Kemal Sunal and İlyas Salman. Şener Şen is the son of the famous actor Ali Şen. he is an actor with a theater background. he has entered the cinema sector with minor side roles and has become famous for the comedy films he shot with Arzu Film with success and in the last years of his career he also succesfully played  in Drama movies such as Muhsin Bey, Eşkiya and Kabadayı, and has proved to be one of the best players that Turkey has produced. Şener Şen was born On 26 December 1941 in Adana Şener Şen, born as the son of one of the most memorable actors of Yeşilçam, Ali Şen, who played in many comedy and drama genre films, started the theater with his desire to become an actor like his father. Şener Şen started his acting career in Yeşil Sahne in 1958 and worked as a teacher in Eastern Anatolia between 1964-1966. Later, he took a part with side roles  in Istanbul Municipality City Theaters and started to professional acting. Şen had opportunity to progress in his profession by playing bigger roles in time. Şen also worked as a dubbing artist in addition to theater. He made his screen debut in the feature film “Sözde Kızlar” in 1967. The successful actor co-starred with his father, Ali Şen in the 1971 production of ”Altın Prens Devler Ülkesinde” and after appearing in side roles in many films in the first half of the 70s, he found the success  with two films in 1975; ”Bizim Aile” ve”Hababam Sınıfı”. His reputation started with the movie called ”Hababam Sınıfı Sınıfta Kaldı” adapted from the book with the same name by Rifat Ilgaz, which was released in 1975, and directed by Ertem Egilmez. Famous names such as Munir Özkul, Tarık Akan, Adile Naşit and Kemal Sunal took place in this film, Şen played ”Body Ekrem” a character who is a clumsy, incompetent and naive physical education teacher and it was very loved by the public. He also took part in sequels of ” Hababam Sınıfı Uyanıyor ” dated 1976, ” Hababam Sınıfı Tatilde ” dated 1977 and ” Hababam Sınıfı Dokuz Doğurdu ” dated 1978 which was the last of the series. He played in many comedy movies during the years with Two actors Kemal Sunal and İlyas Salman that he  played in ”Hababam Sınıfı” series He played in lots of comedy movies with İlyas Salman such as ”Banker Bilo, ”Çiçek Abbas” and ”Dolap Beygiri” and he also played with Kemal Sunal in movies such as ”Süt Kardeşler”, ”Tosun Paşa”, ”Kibar Feyzo” and ”Davaro” and created a memorable duo. In this period Şen usually portrayed a character who is often trickster, untrustworthy, cunning but a character who constantly looses and Şen formed a very good antithesis with Kemal Sunal and Ilyas Salman who were usually playing naive characters and undersigned unforgettable films. Period of ripening of Şen’s career began in 1984 and often took roles in dramatic films. He first played the character of Ali Rıza who was not accepted by the system since he was very honest and honorable in ”Namuslu”, drawn by Ertem Eğilmez in 1984, later  he played in ”Züğürt Ağa of Nesli Çölgeçen in 1985 where he characterized a village agha who passes from the village life to city life, from feodelity to modernity and his adventures in the City of Istanbul. As the Şener’s  new cinema concept, the movies ”Çıplak Vatandaş” dated 1985 and ”Milyarder” dated 1986 was the representatives on the screens. The movie ”Muhsin Bey” of Şener Şen dated in 1987 represented one of the pinnacles of his artistic life. Screenwriter and director of ”Muhsin Bey” is Yavuz Turgul. The story is about  a person called ”Muhsin Bey” who is an old-fashioned and out-of-date music producer and a young artist that he strives to make famous with a burned voice whose name is ”Ali Nazik”. Şen signed one of the masterpieces of Turkish Cinema by ”Muhsin Bey”, who tried to live in the changing world with his old values, in addition, thanks to this film, he had the chance to work together for the first time in a leading role with Uğur Yücel, with whom he will play in front of the camera many times in the years to come. After the movie ”Muhsin Bey”, he played the leading role in ”Selamsız Bandosu” and ”Zengin Mutfağı” in 1987 and Şen once again achieved an unforgettable performance with ”Arabesk” in 1988. Directed by Ertem Eğilmez and produced by Türker İnanoğlu with the script written by Gani Müjde, ”Arabesk” was a strong absurd comedy which analyzed traces of arabesque culture in Turkish cinema and brought a tragic-comic perspective to this situation and it can also be considered as a musical. Müjde Ar and her co-star Şener Şen won the Best Film award at the 26th Altın Portakal Film Festival with their brilliant acting. Şener Şen, who reduced the number of films he played after Arabesque and prolonged the time between the films, was now drawing a portrait of a star actor. The successful actor portrayed  a similar role with ”Muhsin Bey” with ”Aşk Filmlerinin Unutulmaz Yönetmeni” in 1990 and in 1992 he played the leading role with Şevket Altuğ in”Gölge Oyunu”, directed by Yavuz Turgul. His next film, ”Amerikalı”, was an example of a successful absurd comedy that brought a fun perspective to the changes that American Pop Culture created in our country. Supported by one-to-one American movies (Home Alone, Basic Instinct, etc.) The movie ”Amerikalı” brought together successful actors such as Lale Mansur, Taner Barlas and Eray Özbal Şen did not shoot film for three years after ”Amerikalı and then returned to theaters with ”Eşkiya” in 1996. Written and directed by Yavuz Turgul, the movie ”Eşkiya” referred to an old bandit named Baran’s deal with his past after 35 years in prison and his involvement in the life of a young drifter named Cumali while referring to drug and mafia affairs. Having brought together Şen and Uğur Yücel again, Tne movie ”Eşkiya” received many awards at international film festivals and at the 19th Cinema Writers Association Awards.
