Ed Stafford, the beloved face of the DMAX and Discovery channels, holds the Guinness World Record as the first person to walk across the Amazon River. He received the European Adventurer of the Year award In 2011, the same year he was awarded the Mungo Park Medal by the Royal Scottish Geographical Society. Ed, one of the world's best survivors, gained international fame in 2012, when  he tried to survive for 60 days without food, clothing and equipment on a deserted island for a Discovery show called Naked and Marooned.  Finally, he made his 7th documentary series, First Man Out, which will be released in November on Discovery Channel and DMAX. He is a worldwide representative of organizations such as Land Rover, the Scouts, and The Youth Adventure Trust.
