Lale Saral Develioğlu has 26 years experience in marketing, strategy, business development and general management at multi-national companies, mainly in Telecommunications and Consumer Goods. She spent 12 years at Unilever and then 11 years at Turkcell as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief International Businesses Officer. Lastly, she spent 3.5 years at Yıldız Holding and pladis, playing an instrumental role in building the brand strategy during the formation of the global confectionary company. She left pladis in July 2018 to pursue her career as a business consultant and board director.
Lale Saral Develioğlu is a marketing leader. She was selected “Best Marketing Person” of Turkey in 2009; won the “Women to Watch” award for Marketing in 2014 and is among “Top 100 Influencers” in global Creativepool Annual 2018. She has served as Executive Board Member of Advertisers’ Association of Turkey (RVD) and Advertising Self-regulatory Body in Turkey (RÖK).
She has held executive and independent board director roles in various companies. She holds certificates from INSEAD International Directors Program, Harvard Business School Senior Executive Program and The Mentoring Program for “Women on Boards” in Turkey.
Lale Saral Develioğlu is an active member of women leadership organizations. She is the founding member of YKKD (Women on Boards Association), GBRD (Global Board Ready Women Directors), WCD (Women Corporate Directors) and KAYAK (Keiretsu Angel Investment Forum Women’s Branch).
Lale Saral Develioğlu has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Bosphorus University and a master’s degree in engineering management from Rensselear Polytechnic University, NY.
She is a techonolgy enthusiast and a certified angel investor with 6 investments in technolgy companies in Turkey and USA. She is also an instructor at Bilgi University, speaker at various universities and the author of a book titled ‘Karar Verdim’.
